The relevance of the ministry that Faith Academy brings to the Universities @ Medway is immeasurable because of the grace which the group has been endowed with. Faith Academy is established as an Institution that develops people into their purpose and their calling. The ministry has been mandated to train and build students on how to make the right choices and become relevant to their generation. The vision we have is unique in the sense that we see a generation of people who are wonderfully made in God’s image and deserve every right to live an excellent life and a life full of quality. In the context of our assignment we are geared towards helping people refocus through refreshing gatherings that are God-breathed, Inspirational, Motivational and transformational .The ministry of Faith Academy spreads beyond Medway as it currently operates at the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone Kent where people are ministered to through unique and creative meetings.
In Our Medway campus we operate a system that is relevant and exciting. We have three vibrant dynamic and exciting groups within the Academy they are Luminous Ministries, the in- Reach Ministry and the Gender Dimension Ministries. These groups allow student to get fully involved with the vision of the academy and in helping run these ministries, students discover how much they can do with their God given abilities.
LUMINOUS MINISTRIES
The role the luminous ministries is to spread the Light of the glorious good news that Christ brought to humanity. The ministry brings a message of illumination, regeneration and restoration to people who are in gloom and are broken hearted. The ministry is well diverse in the sense that it holds several departments within it. These departments are Dance, Music, Project and Events Management. The dance group brings a message of joy and liberation in Christ. The Projects and Events management team is responsible for organising and projecting events that pass a strong and redemptive message to students in the university one of such events is the exciting singles nite out in 2007. The music team know as the voice of praise is known for its dynamic way of reaching out to lives through edifying music that glorify God.
THE IN-REACH MINISTRIES (TIRM)
The function of TIRM isto direct all its energy into ministering compassion to the people of our university. The ministry is founded on the principle that Love is the greatest commandment. The ministry is responsible for visiting and ministering to those who need healing physically, emotionally and spiritually. The ministry also looks after the spiritual growth of the members of the fellowship and gives direction on how to help them grow. Programmes such as leadership training, increasing in the Knowledge of God, Discipleship/maturity in the faith and lots more are organised by this ministry
GENDER DIMENSION MINISTRIES (G.D.M.)
The purpose of this ministry is to specifically deal with the concepts of gender. The ministry’s objective is to redefine and restore the misplaced value of men and women in society. The objective of the ministry is achieved through targeting young men and women on campus and equipping them with the relevant information through positive gatherings. Under G.D.M. we have a Ladies group know as Virtuous and a guys group called Princes. These sub-divisions of G.D.M. help fulfil the purpose of the ministry.
