UMSA has been involved in the campaign against raising the cap on tuition fees right from the beginning; collecting signatures from students and signed postcards calling on Local MP Mark Reckless to vote against the tuition fee motion in Parliament.
The UMSA Executive Committee successfully lobbied Mark Reckless who agreed to vote against the fee rise.
