Registering with Jobshop

To fully utilise UMSA Jobshop, you must register to use the service. This will assist us, when helping you find work. Certain details about you will be held on our database and used when matching suitable positions with you.

You can register online at www.kentunionjobshop.co.uk or at the main receptionin the Pilkington Building, by providing us with a few personal and contact details. Importantly, we require your Student Number (to confirm that you are a real student) and your university e-mail address (the normal means by which Jobshop will contact you). You cannot register without these. In addition, you will have the option to join one or more e-mail mailing lists, enabling you to have vacancy details sent straight to your e-mail in-box.

Once you have registered, you will be given a Jobshop Registration Number, either in person or by e-mail. This will be required whenever you wish to use Jobshop, so keep it in a safe place. Your registration with Jobshop will last one academic year, and you will need to re-register each September should you wish to continue registration into the following year.

Your registration number is a PIN code that can be used on the Examine Vacancies pages of the Jobshop website to obtain the contact and application details for any of the listed vacancies.
