Fire crews respond to caravan blaze near Chideock

FIRE crews in Dorset responded to a caravan blaze on the A35 between Morecombelake and Chideock last night.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: “One crew from each of Charmouth and Bridport were mobilised at 8.47pm, last night (October 8th). Crews discovered a caravan on fire, along with sheds, a fence and hedge also alight.

“A further fire engine was requested, which came from Beaminster. Crews extinguished the fire using two ground monitors and two hose reels.”
