Crews attend bungalow fire in Seaton

FIRE crews in Devon have attended and extinguished a bungalow fire in Seaton, this evening (October 9th).

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: “Three fire engines from Seaton, Colyton and Axminster were sent to a report of a fire within a property on West Acres, Seaton.

“On arrival the crews confirmed this was a fire within a bungalow and the building was heavily smoke logged.  They got to work using two breathing apparatus wearers with a hose reel jet.

“All occupants were out of the property and nobody was harmed.  The fire was extinguished using a total of four breathing apparatus wearers, two hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras and a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property.

“The cause of the fire was accidental and originated in a bedroom which sustained most of the damage.”
