Badar Nadeem IMPORTAN!!! READ!!! ELECTIONS!!!

Hi Everyone,

The voting process opens as soon as you recieve this e-mail, and will remain open until 5:00 pm on Tuesday 24th April 2012.

Here are the paragraphs sent in by all candidates for you to consider before voting.

I’d like to nominate myself for a potential vice-captaincy role, or if come to it, the captaincy as I feel I have enough knowledge of the game. I have been playing and watching cricket (both live and on television) for many-a-year now which has enhanced my cricketing knowledge. I have taken up various vice-captaincy and captaincy roles at my local village cricket club, which I have enjoyed. I am also very enthusiastic team member and a great motivator. I am also a confident person who can instantly lift a person’s or a group’s confidence immediately. I have a great cricketing brain and even when I’m not a captain I am always, constantly thinking of potential changes which could put the team in a better position. I’ve had previous coaching experience where I have coached young children and teenagers on how to improve in cricket, which has now led me onto improving my own and fellow people’s games. I currently hold a vice-captaincy role in my local village team as it stands but even without this role, I tend to be the ‘go to’ man due to my vast knowledge and experience of the game itself.

Many Thanks,
Mitchell Walker

Will keep it short to spare the read.. I would like to apply for the position of vice-captain as I think I could bring some additional experience into the team. I have been playing cricket for about 11 odd years now so feel confident enough to support/lead a team. I have done some captaincy in the past covering for others and used to be the colt club captain when I was younger. I also think i will have the time to help out with any players should they have a problem of some sort and will always be around at the training sessions!

Cheers,
Dom

id be interested in team captain, as i am already doing a little bit of coaching here and there and I believe I have one of the best view on people’s standard in order for us to build and field a well-balanced team.

thanks,

Rich

Badar:

I’d like to nominate myself to run for Club Captain. This is very fitting since this is essentially the role which I have fulfilled this year. Not only did I conceptualize ‘the Chameleons’ and their logo, and many other aspects of the training and facilities we have enjoyed this year; I have experience of leading teams in the past whether it be from scratch or, already developed ones. Other than being a huge fan of and having experience in playing cricket, my leadership skills extend beyond the field. I have been professionally trained in leadership, teamwork, and public speaking and many such life skills by professionals such as Royal Aide’s at Windsor Castle, and other personalities such as political spin-doctors, and popular Journalists. I believe all these skills will help me not only lead the team to success but also liaise with appropriate departments to ensure the Chameleons are not overlooked as a new team at Medway but are given all the facilities required to promote an ethos-filled and thriving cricketing community at the campus.

Okay so guys, those are the self-testimonials, have a read and vote for the positions accordingly; I notice only I am running for the Club Captain, so just a yay or nay will do, and also that no one is running for secretary, to combat this, if you guys are happy for me to be Club Captain, I am willing initially to incorporate that role in mine until we have further requirements, and if that should arise we can select or vote someone in then!

So if everyone could please just send me an e-mail to badar.93@hotmail.com with the subject, My Vote! (please make it that, it makes searching e-mail a hell of a lot easier. and then you don’t have to write anything except the following;

Club Captain: [Insert name of your choice here]
Team Captain: [Insert name of your choice here]
Vice Captain: [Insert name of your choice here]

Please reply by 6:00 pm on Tuesday 24th April 2012 for your vote to be considered.

I will collate all the data and announce the successful candidates and their new roles the following day!

Many thanks guys,

See you soon,
Badar!

Badar Nadeem Okay this is the e-mail that was sent that half of you haven’t received… so I’m just making it public!

Hi guys,

Training as normal tomorrow!

But also an exciting opportunity for all cricketers!

We need to vote in some executive members for next year!

The positions and their description are as follows:

Club Captain: General organisation of the club; arranging matches; liaison with UMSA; Personnel and relations within the team; acquiring equipment and facilities etc (basically most of the things I’ve done this year!)

Team Captain: The on-field general!

Vice captain: Captain’s go to man, also in case the captain is not available or for example we have 2 matches!

Secretary/Treasurer: Right hand man to the Club Captain, plus keeping track of finances etc!

If you are interested in any of these roles, reply ti this e-mail with no more with a paragraph of no more than 200 words (keep it short please so everyone is not afraid to read it just looking at it!) explaining why you would be a suitable candidate for the role! Change the subject of the e-mail to Self-nomination please!

The deadline for this is this Friday (30th March 2012)! I will then circulate all of these paragraphs over the weekend to the whole team who will cast a vote which will close the following Friday (6th April 2012)! I’ll then announce whoever got what position either by e-mail over the holidays or first training session back!

Plus very importantly… I need to know MATCH AVAILABILITY for 16th April 2012 ASAP as I need to enter teams by this Friday at the very latest! Email back if you can play and I’ll put you down, this is for a 6-a-side indoor tournament that will last the whole day and we can enter more than one team! so do get back to me please!

Thanks!
