Khurum Afzal I’m organising a inter-club singles and if we have more ppl, possibly a doubles league for non-team members.  Its only £3 to join to cover cost of feather shuttles. Let me know if you’re interested let me know ASAP. Its based on a ladder system.  Play weekly matches either on weds or thurs when it suits both players.  Its def worth joining!! Planning to get prizes as well ;)

Khurum Afzal Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who took part in the club’s first ever charity tournament yesterday in raising money to help towards the drought in East Africa. 

Secondly, based on individual performances in the charity tournament, I would like to create an inter-club league.  I’m thinking to have a ladder system where you play to either maintain your position or get promoted to the top. 

This league is for ALL members regardless of whether you played in the charity event or not. 

If we get enough people on board, you can play your matches with feather shuttles ;) otherwise, we’ll have to play with plastic shuttles, which don’t give you the full-on experience.

Khurum Afzal Hi Cat.  Yeah you can join at any time of the year, however, to get your money’s worth best to join ASAP as the price is the same.  We have a charity tournament event 2day, prizes for winners and runners up.  Just make sure you bring your own racket and wear non-marking trainers.

Further details as advertised! :D
We’re planning on having our first major social for the term next Wednesday as Pav just mentioned..
The plan is for us to meet up at coopers by 7 for a few games and to get to know each other.. This social is going to be done in collaboration with the table tennis and the tennis groups so it will be a great opportunity to meet everyone involved :)
we have an awesome population of members on here and I would like to think that each and every one of you will show up on the day!
we should be at coopers till about half past 9 and then we’ll be heading off to Bliss. No, not eternal bliss.. just a pretty good club in the area ^^
Do forgive the pun.. but seriously… it will be awesome and I guarantee you’ll regret it if you don’t come along.

That being said.. we will be setting up an event on Facebook soon (hopefully tomorrow) so RSVP as soon as you can… and just as a general note.. myself and Adi will not accept an ‘im not attending’ unless its followed by a very good excuse!!

I’ll keep everyone posted on any more details as it goes along..

P.S. good luck for tomorrow guys! (Training or not.. as Pav said.. do come along.. we have really strong numbers and support helps SO MUCH psychologically!! plus it’s a home match… not really any effort involved in coming along eh?? )
