CHARD builder Wayne Dowell is the proud owner of a brand new works van, which he won in a competition.
Bradfords Building Supplies have handed over the keys to a new Peugeot Boxer van, worth more than £26,000.
Mr Dowell was chosen at random from thousands of entries by the Heart FM Breakfast team after entering the competition online following a qualifying purchase in branch.
The competition was a chance for Bradfords Building Supplies to give something back to its customers. Bradfords also offered £2,000 worth of Makita power tools, won by Nik Read from Crewkerne.
Bradfords Building Supplies managing director, David Young, commented: “It’s important to give something back to our customers who work hard all year round and what’s better than a top of the range work van.
“This is one of the biggest and most popular competitions we’ve ever run and we like to thank all our customers like Wayne for their continued support and we hope he enjoys his new set of wheels.”
The keys and van were handed over at the company’s Crewkerne branch, and Wayne said: “I wasn’t even going to enter the competition, I thought no one ever wins these prizes. I then got an email two days before I went on holiday saying that I was entitled to have a go so I thought I’d try my luck.
“A few weeks later whilst I was on holiday I received a call saying I won, next thing I’m jumping around the room celebrating.
“I’ve now got my hands on the prize and am over the moon with the new van.”
